  1. Edited from yesterday's post...

Blake Snell (pick # 52) pitched an inning in the GCL game yesterday, and looked good. Gave up a single to the leadoff batter, then K'd 2 and walked one before ending with a third strikeout. 92 on the fastball and the breaking pitches were especially effective vs the LHB.

Shay Crawford (another LHP) threw a couple impressive innings as well, attacked the outside corner with a tailing fastball at 88, and also featured a tight slider.

With the rain throughout most of the game it made things a little sloppy, but beating the Red Sox at any level is a good thing. (former Sox fan)

  8. Carter has shin splints (I think I heard something about a stress fracture) Kes should be playing any day now though. Lyerly is also hurt he spraineed his ankle when he stole 3rd. HV needs both of these guys back in the lineup.

  9. HV has 3 outfielders. If one more gets hurt, who knows who will play out there- maybe Diogenes Luis?
