Joe Cruz Out For The Season

Stacy Long with the bad news:
Biscuits pitcher Joe Cruz will miss the rest of the season after an MRI this week revealed a superior labral tear in his right shoulder. He'll have surgery soon, he said.

"It's disappointing, very disappointing," Cruz said. "They say things happen for a reason. I'm glad they found something because I wasn't feeling right, but it (stinks) that my season had to end this way."
If you want a silver lining, I guess this explains his troubles this year. Here's to a quick recovery back to the "old" Cruz.

  1. If there is any good news, it's that it's his labrum and not his rotator cuff.

  2. True. Joe is strong player...I know he will come back next season stronger and better than ever :) This is just a little bump on the road. He'll pull through. He is very young still.

  3. Also adding to this, Chris Murrill with the stone crabs is out for the season as well. Torn rotator cuff. Shoulder injuries are tough. Good luck to Joe and also to Chris on a speedy recovery
