[3:45] Nothing really new to report, but that's not a surprise as all the major rumor action is happening in the top ten picks. Should be able to get a little better idea of what will happen there within the 3.5 hours until it starts.
[1:15] Kevin Goldstein checks in with his final mock. Rays picks: Josh Bell (!), Dan Vogelbach, and Brandon Nimmo. That would be quite a haul, but of course there are signability questions with Bell (and Nimmo. And Vogelbach).
[1:07] Keith Law has updated his (as he will through the day) to now have C.J. Cron to the Rays at #24. Cron, Nimmo, and Eierman would be a nice haul in the first round.
[12:47] Jim Callis' final mock is up at BaseballAmerica, with analysis for subscribers, and a list-only version for free. He has the Rays getting Chris Reed (that's a new name; he's a LHP from Stanford and quite frankly kind of reach at #24), Henry Owens, and Blake Swihart.
[12:16] Frankie Piliere is hosting a chat over at ScoutingBaseball, while Keith Law will be chatting at ESPN (open to all) at 2 pm.
[12:07] Keith Law's final mock draft is out (insider only). He has the Rays taking Kolten Wong, Brandon Nimmo, and Johnny Eierman.
I'll update this throughout the day with the latest news, notes, and mocks.
*Here's a post I did over at DRaysBay with assorted thoughts on the draft.
*According to MLB Draft Insider, the Mariners are leaning toward Francisco Lindor with the #2 pick. That would shake things up in the top 10 for sure, as it was generally agreed that Gerrit Cole, Danny Hultzen, and Anthony Rendon would be the top three picks in some order.
*Doug and I will be hosting a Cover It Live chat here beginning at 6 pm ET
I'll post more as it comes, but feel free to weigh in with any thoughts in the comments.
