The Tampa Bay Rays announced the following roster moves following Friday's game.
Jeremy Hellickson was optioned to the Charlotte Stone Crabs and Dale Thayer was promoted to the Rays.
Hellickson will work out of the Stone Crabs bullpen to prepare for use out of the Rays bullpen. Thayer was called up to the Rays to fill the spot in the bullpen that will eventually become Hellickson's once he is ready.
