Organizational Playoff Picture

As we near the end of the 2010 regular season, lets take a look at the playoff picture for the affiliates.

Durham Bulls: The Bulls currently have a 14 1/2 game lead of the division with 21 games remaining. The Bulls magic number is 5.

Montgomery Biscuits: The Biscuits are in third place in the division, 6 games back from the leader with 19 games remaining. Jacksonville is leading the division but have already clinched playoff berth with a first half win, so the battle is for the wildcard spot currently held by Mobile, which the Biscuits trail by 2 1/2 games. The Biscuits elimination number is 14.

Charlotte Stone Crabs: The Stone Crabs have clinched playoff berth by winning the first half of the season. The Stone Crabs will host game two and three (if necessary) at Charlotte Sports Park.

Bowling Green Hot Rods: The Hot Rods chances at playoff are slowly slipping away. They are currently in sixth place in the division, 14 games back from the leader with 20 games to go. Their elimination number is currently 11.

Hudson Valley Renegades: The Renegades are in second place in the division, trailing Brooklyn by 9 games. There are 20 games left in the season and their elimination number is 12.

Princeton Rays: The P-Rays are in third place in the division, three game back with 13 games remaining. The top two teams in each division qualify for the Appalachian League playoffs, so they are just a game back from second place and a playoff spot.

GCL Rays: The G-Rays are in tight battle for the South Division crown, leading the division by one game over the Red Sox with 10 games remaining.

DSL Rays: The D-Rays are in a three team battle for the BC North Division, the Rays trail the Mets by a game. Meanwhile the Rays hold a half game lead over the Dodgers in third place. The Rays are also a game back for the wild card slot as well. There are 4 games left in the season.

  1. If Jacksonville does sweep the halves, it goes to overall standings for the runner-up spot. That puts Montgomery 2.5 back of Mobile.

  2. I fixed the game back for Montgomery. I had clicked on the wrong standings when I put the game back. Thanks for the catch.
