Tuesday's Games

Charlotte Knights 5, Durham Bulls 4
Desmond Jennings was 2-3 with a double, 2 walks and 3 runs scored. Justin Ruggiano was 3-5 with a double and an RBI. Elliot Johnson was 2-5 with a triple and an RBI. Leslie Anderson was 2-5 with a run scored. Brian Baker suffered the loss. Despite the loss, Durham still has a 13.0 game lead over Charlotte in the South Division. The series continues on Wednesday with Virgil Vasquez making the start.

Montgomery Biscuits 7, West Tenn Diamond Jaxx 3
Emeel Salem was 2-4 with a double, RBI and 2 runs scored. Chris De La Cruz was 2-4 with a run scored. Henry Wrigley was 2-5 with a run scored. John Matulia had a triple and 3 RBI's. Drew Anderson plated two runs. Alex Cobb struck out the first 5 he faced enroute to 10 strikeouts on the night and recorded the win. Montgomery remains in 3rd place in the 2nd half South Division standings, 5.0 games behind Jacksonville. David Newmann starts Wednesday's game against West Tenn.

Charlotte Stone Crabs, St. Lucie Mets (postponed)
The Stone Crabs and Mets will play a doubleheader on Wednesday.

Bowling Green Hot Rods 9, Fort Wayne Tincaps 5
Brett Nommensen was 3-5 with 2 triples, 5 RBI's and a run scored. Robbi Estrada was 2-4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Dustin Biell was 2-4 with a run scored. Ty Morrison, Tyler Bortnick and David Wendt each drove home a run. Yorman Mayora picked up the win and Jake Sullivan the save. The Hot Rods continue their playoff run when they return home for a six game homestand.

Vermont Lake Monsters 3, Hudson Valley Renegades 4
Diogenes Luis was 2-4 with a run scored. Phil Wunderlich, Elias Otero and Kyle Lusson picked up RBI's. Junior Rodriguez had the only extra base hit with a double. James Patterson earned the win, pitching 5 shutout innings in the start. Adam Liberatore earned the save. The Renagades play the Lake Monsters again on Wedensday.

Princeton Rays 7, Kingsport Mets 2
Scott Lawson was 3-4 with a triple, 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Kevin Kiermaier was 3-5 with a home run. Bryan Fogle was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's. Kyle Holloway had an RBI. Enny Romero picked up the win and Matt Gilson the save. Braulio Lara starts Wednesday's game against Kingsport.

GCL Rays 3, GCL Twins 0
Alex Diaz was 2-3. Cesar Perez was 2-3 with a run scored. Julian Morillo was 2-4 with a run scored. Juniel Querecuto was 2-5. Craige Lyerly drove home two runs. Deshun Dixon had an RBI. Matt Bush earned the win and Brandon Henderson the save. The Rays are tied for 1st in the GCL South with the Red Sox, who they will play at home on Wednesday.

DSL Rays 5, DSL Pirates 2 (Game One)

DSL Rays 4, DSL Pirates 1 (Game Two)
With the sweep the Rays have now won 6 in a row and are only a half game out of first place. They visit the DSL Yankees-2 on Wednesday morning.
