Sunday's Scores and Highlights

Durham Bulls 9, Pawtucket Red Sox 3
The Bulls tied the franchise record for most consecutive wins. Desmond Jennings was 2 for 3 with a grand slam. Justin Ruggiano and Chris Richard also had solo home runs. Angel Chavez, Jose Lobaton and Fernando Perez each drove home a run. Darin Downs improved to 4-1 with the win. The Bulls look to break the record for most consecutive win in franchise history on Monday against Pawtucket, Brian Baker will get the start. Also, Jeremy Hellickson will make his major league debut for the Rays against the Twins.

Montgomery Biscuits 1, Mobile Bay Bears 5
Leslie Anderson was 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. Rashad Eldridge drove home the lone run. Justin Garcia pitched 4 scoreless innings. David Newmann suffered the loss. The Biscuits begin a home series against Tennessee on Monday, Jeremy Hall will start the opener.

Dunedin Blue Jays 10, Charlotte Stone Crabs 4
Greg Sexton was 2 for 4, the only Stone Crabs player with multiple hits. Stephen Vogt had a three run homer. Tim Beckham plated the other run with a sacrifice. The pitchers gave up 15 hits on the night, 11 of them by Frank De Los Santos who took the loss. The series against Dunedin continues on Monday with Matt Moore making the start.

Lansing Lugnuts 8, Bowling Green Hot Rods 10
Tyler Bortnick was 3 for 5 with 2 double, a triple, 2 RBI's and 3 runs scored. Bennett Davis was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI's. Julio Cedeno was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's. Ty Morrison went deep with a three run homer. Tyree Hayes earned the victory. The Hot Rods play Lansing again on Monday.

Aberdeen Iron Birds 4, Hudson Valley Renegades 12
Alejandro Torres was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 RBI's and 3 runs scored. Diogenes Luis was 2 for 3 with a home run, 3 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Robby Price was 2 for 4 with an RBI. Burt Reynolds was 2 for 5 with 2 doubles and an RBI. Elias Otero was 2 for 5 with an RBI. Steven Tinoco plated two runs. Nate Garcia was the winning pitcher. The Renegades kick off an away series against Brooklyn on Monday.

Princeton Rays 2, Pulaski Mariners 10
Jeff Malm had a solo home run and drove home both of the runs on the night. The P-Rays committed 3 errors in the game. Eliazer Suero was the losing pitcher. The P-Rays continue the series against Pulaski on Monday with Jacob Partridge making the start.

GCL Rays (day off)
The GCL Rays return to action on Monday against the GCL Twins.



DSL Yankees 2, DSL Rays 7
Ariel Soriano was 4 for 4 with a double and 3 runs scored. Jesus Araiza drove home 3 runs. Francisco Roasario had 2 RBI's and Ismel Aguero also knocked in a run. Juan Wilsino pitched a complete game earning the win.

DSL Yankees 6, DSL Rays 1
Hector Rodriguez drove home the lone run. The Rays only managed 2 hits in the game. Wilmer Hernandez was the losing pitcher. The DSL Rays are off on Monday.


VSL Phillies 3, VSL Rays 9
Jonathan Quinonez was 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 RBI's and a run scored. Nahum Hernandez was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's and a run scored. Roan Salas was 2 for 5 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Hugo Duarte picked up the win. The VSL Rays will play the VSL Cardinals on the road on Monday.
