Saturday's Scores and Highlights

Durham Bulls 2, Gwinnett Braves 4 (Game One)
Elliot Johnson had the only extra base hit for the Bulls. Desmond Jennings and JJ Furmaniak drove home a run each. Darin Down pitched 4 shut-out innings with only 1 hit and 6 strikeouts. Brian Shouse suffered the loss.

Durham Bulls 6, Gwinnett Braves 2 (Game Two)
Angel Chavez was 3 for 4. Desmond Jennings was 3 for 5 with a double, RBI and 2 runs scored. Justin Ruggiano was 2 for 4 with an RBI. Leslie Anderson was 2 for 4. Dioner Navarro, Chris Richard and Elliot Johnson each drove home a run. Jake McGee pitched 2 shut-out innings, surrendering a hit while striking out 4. RJ Swindle picked up the win. The Bulls conclude the series on Sunday with Brian Baker on the mound.

Montgomery Biscuits 5, Mississippi Braves 4
Matt Spring was 2 for 4 with a double, home run and 2 RBI's. Henry Wrigley was 2 for 4 with a triple and 2 runs scored. Jose Ruiz was 2 for 4. Matt Fields also had an RBI. Sergio Espinosa got the win and Dane De La Rosa the save. Alex Cobb will start Sunday's game against Mississippi.

Fort Myers Miracle 1, Charlotte Stone Crabs 7
The Stone Crabs swept the Miracle and have now won six straight. Anthony Scelfo was 2 for 2 with an RBI, 3 runs scored and 2 walks. Stephen Vogt was 3 for 5 with a double. Chris Murrill was 2 for 3 with an RBI. Michael Sheridan and Isaias Velasquez each had a home run. Velasquez had 3 RBI's on the night. Deivis Mavarez made his Stone Crabs debut, pitching 2 shut-out innings with 4 strikeouts. Matt Bush returned from the DL with 1 2/3 innings on the mound. Joe Cruz improved to 11-6 on the year with the win. The Stone Crabs begin a series against St. Lucie on Sunday, Kirby Yates will get the start making his Stone Crabs debut. Carlos Pena will also appear in a rehab assignment leading off as DH.

Great Lakes Loons 10, Bowling Green Hot Rods 5 (11 innings)
The Hot Rods have lost 4 in a row and 7 of their last 10. David Wendt was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Julio Cedeno was 2 for 5 with a double. Dustin Biell was 2 for 5 with an RBI. Tyler Bortnick was 2 for 6 with a home run. Hot Rods gave up five runs on the top of the 11th inning. Jake Sullivan suffered the loss. Jason McEachern will try to get things going in the right direction on Sunday against Great Lakes.

Hudson Valley Renegades 4, Batavia Muckdogs 7
Phil Wunderlich was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. Burt Reynolds had a triple and Mayo Acosta a home run. Nick Schwaner, Diogenes Luis and Brian Bryles each drove home an run. Miguel Sierra suffered the loss. The Renegades finish the series with Batavia on Sunday.

Princeton Rays 5, Pulaski Mariners 8
Scott Lawson was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 RBI's. Hector Guevara was 3 for 4 with a run scored. Ruben Contreras and Kyle Holloway provided an RBI. Victor Mateo suffered the loss. The P-Rays begin a series against their rival Bluefield with Enny Romero starting the opener.

GCL Orioles 2, GCL Rays 6
Ryan Royster was 2 for 4 with a triple and 2 RBI's. Alex Diaz was 2 for 5 with an RBI. Ryan McCrann drove home two runs. Julian Morillo also had an RBI. Stephan Havlicek made his debut, pitching a no hit inning. Reinaldo Lopez improved to 5-0 with the win. The GCL Rays are off on Sunday.

DSL Rays 6, DSL Indians 3
Jiminson Natera was 2 for 3 with a double. Adderly Rosa, Medina, Hector Rodriguez, Luis Marte and Waldo Rosario had the RBI's for the Rays. The Rays drew 10 walks during the game. Joe Monegro picked up the win. The DSL Rays are off on Sunday.
