Minor Moves: Hellickson

The Tampa Bay Rays have announced the promotion of Durham's Jeremy Hellickson. Hellickson will start Monday's game against the Twins. Resulting player moves will be announced Monday if needed.

Hellickson was drafted by the Rays in round 4 of the 2005 draft. This year he is 12-3 for the Bulls with a 2.45 ERA and 123 strikeouts in 117 2/3 innings pitched.

  1. Alright Hellboy!!! There is absolutely NO reason to send him back down after his start. He can be used in long/mid relief to ready him for the rotation next year.He leads the league in wins,ERA,and Ks.He has nothing left to prove in AAA, regardless how Rays management trys to spin it.
