Sunday's Scores and Highlights

Durham Bulls 4, Charlotte Knights 8
Fernando Perez was 3 for 4 with an RBI. Elliot Johnson was 2 for 5 with a double. Chris Richard was 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 runs scored. Dan Johnson also had a home run and 2 RBI's. The Bulls had 10 hits on the afternoon, but went 1 for 10 with runners in scoring position. Brian Baker was charged with the loss. The Bulls return home to begin a series against Columbus on Monday, Jeremy Hellickson will make the start.

Montgomery Biscuits 7, Tennessee Smokies 6
Biscuits win fifth straight. Cody Cipriano was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 runs scored. John Matulia also had a home run. Henry Wrigley, Rashad Eldridge and Craig Albernaz all picked up RBI's. Alex Torres earned the win and Ryan Reid the save. Alex Cobb starts for the Biscuits on Monday as they continue the series with Tennessee.

Daytona Cubs 5, Charlotte Stone Crabs 1
Stephen Vogt was 2 for 4 with a double. Kyeong Kang also had a double. Chris Murrill drove home the only Stone Crabs run. Chris Andujar suffered the loss. The Stone Crabs continue the series with Daytona on Monday with Nick Barnese making the start.

Bowling Green Hot Rods 0, Peoria Chiefs 9
Gabe Cohen was 3 for 4. Mark Thomas was 2 for 4. The only other hit was from Bennett Davis and no one had an extra base hit. Albert Suarez was charged in the loss and fell to 0-3. The series continues on Monday with Jason McEachern on the mound.

Connecticut Tigers 5, Hudson Valley Renegades 9
Burt Reynolds was 3 for 4 with a double and run scored. Brian Bryles was 2 for 4 with a double, 3 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Derek Dietrich was 2 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored. Steve Tinoco was 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. Kyle Holloway was 2 for 3 with a run scored. Chris Winder added two RBI's. Ken Kelly picked up the win and Steve Hiscock the save. The Renegades and Tigers meet again on Monday.

Burlington Royals 3, Princeton Rays 0
Alejandro Segovia was the only P-Ray with multiple hits. Brian Fogle and Cesar Guillen were the only other player with hits. P-Ray pitchers gave up 10 hits. Enny Romero was charged with the loss. The P-Rays with Andrew Bellati on the mound face Burlington on Monday.

GCL Rays (day off)
The GCL Rays travel to Fort Myers to play the GCL Red Sox on Monday.



DSL Rays (day off)
The DSL Rays return from the All-Star break to play the GCL Red Sox on Monday.



VSL Phillies 2, VSL Rays 5 (Game One/7 innings)
Ismel Antunez was 2 for 3. Roan Salas was 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored. Wilmer Dominguez was 2 for 2 with a homer and 2 runs scored. Felipe Rivero got the win and Luis Wilches the save.

VSL Rays 6, VSL Phillies 7 (Game Two/9 innings)
Leopoldo Correa was 2 for 3 with a run scored. Franklin Paz was 2 for 2 with an RBI. Jose Bellorin was 2 for 4 with a home run. Ronald Acosta was 2 for 4. Roan Salas had 3 RBI's. Hector Aguilera picked up the loss. The VSL Rays hit the road to play the VSL Cardinals on Monday.
