Ruggiano Named International League Player of the Week

Justin Ruggiano of the Durham Bulls was named the International League's Hitter of the Week for the July 5 through July 11. During the week he drove home 11 runs with 11 hits, 4 of them doubles and 2 home runs. Ruggiano is hitting .290 on the year with 18 doubles, 10 home runs, 40 RBI's and 19 stolen bases.

Ruggiano was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in round 25 of the 2004 Draft. He was obtained by the Rays in 2006 as part of a trade. He has split the last four seasons with the Bulls and the Rays.
