First basemen are looked to for their bats, but everyone here looks solid with the glove too. The 34 year-old Richard is hitting .269/.373/.537 in 108 AB's with 7 HR's and nearly as many walks (17) as strikeouts (23). Hughes, 25, has a .254/.353/.582 line in 134 AB's with 12 HR's, but has stuck out 52 times with 15 walks. Fields, 23, has a batting line of .254/.303/.443 in 122 AB's, but has stuck out 39 times with only 4 walks this season. Sheridan, 21, is off to a slow start at the plate, hitting .234/.236/.364 in 107 AB's. And while he's only struck out 10 times, he's only drawn one walk all year.
