Rays 14th Round Pick - 431st Overall: Austin Hubbard

BaseballAmerica:(ranked #23 in Alabama)
Hubbard, the Tigers' closer, has a fringy fastball that sits 87-90 mph and throws a lot of sliders from 79-82 mph and touching 84. It works, as he was 5-2, 1.96 with nine saves, but he wasn't expected to be a high pick.

Of note, the Rays drafted Scott Shuman out of Auburn last season.

Where is the high school pitching?

  1. Seems about all of their college pitching taken so far, Is already or has a strong chance of becoming a relief pitcher. And not only that they are all right handers when we dont really have any lefties.
