Minor Moves: Kapler, Furmaniak, Oliveros, Four NDFA's

The Tampa Bay Rays have assigned outfielder Gabe Kapler to the Charlotte Stone Crabs on a rehab assignment.

The Durham Bulls have activated 2B J.J. Furmaniak from the temporarily inactive list.

RHP Rayner Oliveros has been assigned to the Charlotte Stone Crabs from the Montgomery Biscuits.

The Rays have signed four undrafted free agents and assigned them to the Gulf Coast League Rays: LHP Ryan Fleckenstein, RHP Peter Woodworth, C Marcos Torres, RHP Daniel Johnson.

The 24 year-old Fleckenstein is listed at 5'11, 200 pounds. He came on in relief yesterday and pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk with a strikeout. He was a senior at the University of Oregon this season.

Woodworth is 21 and listed at 6'2", 190 pounds. He also came on in relief yesterday and pitched 2.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and no walks with two strikeouts. He was a senior at Florida Gulf Coast University this season.

The 22 year-old Torres is listed at 6'1", 215 pounds. He is a Felician College graduate, where he was the teams all-time leader in base hits with 214 from 2007-10.

Johnson is 20 and listed at 6'4", 235 pounds. He is out of Western Oregon University, where he was a junior this season. He appeared in 11 games for the Wolves in 2010, but none were as a pitcher.

[Updated:] Make that five NDFA's joining the GCL Rays. Add RHP Justin Hall, who pitched 0.2 innings in today's game, allowing one earned run on three hits with a strikeout. He is out of Mars Hill College, where he set a school record for career wins with 21, and struck out 208 batters while allowing 111 earned runs in 236 innings. More background on Hall is here.
