Minor Moves: Wrigley, Fields

1B/OF Henry Wrigley has been promoted to the Montgomery Biscuits from the Charlotte Stone Crabs. In 68 games for the Stone Crabs this season, Wrigley has hit .292 with 13 doubles, 12 home runs, and 46 runs batted in. His .504 slugging percentage was second on the team and first among regulars.

In a corresponding move, 1B Matt Fields has been sent down to the Stone Crabs from Montgomery. In 61 games for the Biscuits, Fields hit .232 with 10 doubles, 10 home runs, and 37 runs batted in. Fields spent 51 games with Charlotte last year before being promoted to Montgomery, hitting .259 with 11 home runs and 45 runs batted in.

    Sorry to see it at the expense of Fields though. Guess someone had to take the bump, but not sure why they chose Fields. Welcome back to Charlotte buddy.

  4. Wrigley desrved that promotion hands down. the 23 year old is making his mark throughout the tampa bay "devil" rays system. great addition to any team they put him on.
