Rays 13th Round Pick - 409th Overall: Hunter Hill

Another JuCo guy, a RHP. Not ranked on BA's Texas list. Looking for info.

Yeesh, can't even find stats. Apparently also goes by James Hill.

Found a quote from the Texas State website, where apparently he's transferring to unless he signs:
Hunter Hill is the lone junior college transfer joining the 2010 signing class. Hill spent one year at Howard College pitching under the guidance of head coach Britt Smith. Prior to his career with the Hawks, the right-handed pitcher lettered four years before graduating from Prestonwood Christian Academy. Hill helped the team to a 31-1 record, while boasting an 11-0 mark on the mound that encompassed a 0.52 ERA and 100 strikeouts. The Dallas native was named to the Louisville Slugger All-American first team and took home district MVP honors as well.

"Hunter is a prolific baseball player," said assistant coach Derek Matlock. "He has an outstanding breaking pitch and an above average fastball. His maturity on the mound with those pitches will establish him as a valuable collegiate player."

  1. Drafted by Texas in 47th Round, I believe, out of high school, but didn't sign. Took scholarship at Central Florida; transferred to Texas, transferred to a JuCo in Abilene, Texas; and will transfer to Texas State if doesn't sign with Rays.
