6/24: The Rundown

Notes: Durham fell to 39-33... Rhyne Hughes forced extra innings with a 2-out homerun in the 9th, but Toledo won it with a walk-off double off of Dewon Day in the 13th... Matt DeSalvo started and lasted just two innings, allowing 3 runs and walking 4... Julio DePaula, Chad Bradford, Jorge Julio, Jason Childers, Joe Bateman, and Dewon Day all appeared in relief... Former infielder Joey Callender pitched the final five innings, allowing Burlington's run but earning the win... Brian Bryles, batting leadoff, went 3-4 with a double, triple, and a walk. He tripled with one out in the 10th and scored on a Daniel Spraker bunt... Bryles, Spraker, Alejandro Torres, and Ramon Novas all had multi-hit games...

Hudson Valley Renegades - 1B Eli Sonoqui: 2-4 with a double.

Princeton Rays - RHP Jason McEachern/OF Brian Bryles: The 2008 draftees split it. McEachern threw five strong innings, keeping Burlington off the board. Bryles was a homerun shy of the cycle and scored both of Princeton's runs.

GCL Rays - No walks: The pitching staff didn't issue a walk.

Durham Bulls - OF Matt Joyce: He was That Guy, taking an 0-7.

Montgomery Biscuits - Offense: In two games so far, the Biscuits have just 1 run on 8 hits.

Charlotte Stone Crabs - C Christian Lopez and OF Emeel Salem combined to go 0-7.

Hudson Valley Renegades - LHP Glenn Gibson: Took the loss, walking 5 and allowing 3 runs in just two innings.

Princeton Rays - 3B Julio Cedeno: Went 0-4 in his stateside debut.

GCL Rays - No walks: The Rays hitters didn't draw a walk.
