The Tampa Bay Rays have optioned Matt Joyce to the Durham Bulls. The 24 year-old outfielder has hit .315/.408/.530 in 149 AB's for Durham and .188/.270/.500 in 32 AB's for the Rays this season.As we told you yesterday, SS Jason Bartlett has been assigned to the Charlotte Stone Crabs on a major league rehab assignment from the Rays. He's expected to play 3 games for the Stone Crabs beginning tonight.
