6/5: The Rundown

Notes: Durham fell to 34-20... Dale Thayer got the loss as the Bulls blew a 3-1 lead in the 8th inning. Carlos Hernandez started and went 6.2, allowing just one run. Julio DePaula allowed two runs in 0.2 and Thayer allowed the decisive run... The Bulls collected just 5 hits, including 2 hits apiece from Chris Nowak and Rashad Eldridge... Jon Weber drove in two runs...

Montgomery Biscuits 3, Jacksonville Suns 0

Notes: The Biscuits improved to 26-29... Brian Baker pitched 6 scoreless innings to extend his scoreless streak to 25 innings. Rayner Oliveros got the 3-inning save, striking out 6... Desmond Jennings(who was DHing) was 2-3 with a walk, a double, and a triple. He drove in two runs... Fernando Cortez got the start at 1B and picked up two hits...

Daytona Cubs 6, Charlotte Stone Crabs 3

Notes: Charlotte fell to 26-23... Jeremy Hall dropped to 5-4, allowing 4 earned runs in 5.2 innings of work... The Crabs had only five hits... Shawn O'Malley and Omar Luna had RBIs... Charlotte committed four errors(Luna, Greg Sexton, and two by Christian Lopez)...

Notes: Bowling Green fell to 25-28 with the pair of losses... Frank De Los Santos got the loss in game 1, allowing 5 runs in 3.1 innings... Game 2 got away from the Hot Rods late, allowing 8 runs over the last two innings. Joe Cruz allowed 5 runs in 5.1 innings, and Marquis Fleming got the loss allowing the rest in 1.2 innings... Tim Beckham was 2-8 between the two games with a double. He committed another error in the field...

Durham Bulls - LHP Carlos Hernandez: Another day, another solid Bulls start: 6.2 innings, 4 hits, 1 earned run, 2 walks and 9 strikeouts.

Montgomery Biscuits - OF Desmond Jennings: 2-3 with a double, a triple, and a walk. Got his OPS back over 1.000.

Charlotte Stone Crabs - N/A

Bowling Green Hot Rods - I have nothing here, so I'll note that the Rays(3-2), Bulls(4-3), Crabs(6-3) and Hot Rods(7-3) all played games where they scored exactly three runs.

Durham Bulls - RHP Julio DePaula: Allowed the two runs that let Toledo tie the game in just 0.2 innings.

Montgomery Biscuits - C Nevin Ashley: Hitting just .167 at Montgomery since his promotion.

Charlotte Stone Crabs - Team: No offense(5 hits), no defense(4 errors), not-so-great pitching.

Bowling Green Hot Rods - Everyone who didn't get a hit: Jefferies, Wrigley, Reynolds, Tweedy.
