Hot Rods-LumberKings Cancelled on Thursday Night

[Game recap provided by Hot Rod's Tom Gauthier.]

(Bowling Green, KY) – Due to unplayable field conditions, Thursday night’s Hot Rods-Clinton LumberKings game was cancelled at Bowling Green Ballpark. Heavy rains passed through Bowling Green, leaving the field unsafe for play.

The game will not be made up as the Hot Rods and LumberKings do not face each other again in the 2010 season. This means the Hot Rods will play just 69 games in the first half of the season.

Tickets for Thursday night’s game can be redeemed for TWO future regular season 2010 home games excluding July 2 & 3. Tickets must be redeemed in-person at the Hot Rods Ticket Office at Bowling Green Ballpark beginning at 9 AM on Friday, June 4.

Bowling Green begins its final series of a now 12-game home stand against the Kane County Cougars (Oakland Athletics) on Friday night. LHP Aaron Dott (1-1, 3.38) draws the start against Kane County LHP Ian Krol (2-2, 1.90). First pitch is at 7:05 PM. Pre-game radio coverage begins with Tom Gauthier and Hank Fuerst at 6:50 PM on 1340 AM WBGN and www.bghotrods.com.

Friday night features post-game fireworks with another edition of the Family Fireworks Series presented by Lawless Wiesemann Orthodontics, Clean Freaks, The Gables/Western Place, Home-Towne Suites, and WBKO. For tickets, call 270.901.2121, visit www.bghotrods.com, or stop by the Hot Rods Ticket Office at the ballpark.
