The Rays finished spring training with a 15-16-1 record. They drew 103,255 fans, up 30.4%, while overall MLB spring training attendance numbers dropped by 10.9% and overall Grapefruit League dropped 20.4%. The Rays 15 wins were their 2nd-most in any spring, behind the 18 they won in 2008. The Rays 47 stolen bases were most in the majors. The pitching staff issued just 88 walks, 2nd-fewest in the majors to the Twins 86. Rays players committed just 26 errors, 3rd-fewest among AL clubs. Ben Zobrist played the most innings on the club this spring with 134 (at every position but pitcher and catcher), and also led the AL with 16 walks. Ray Sadler played in a club-record 29 games.
