One Month In The Books

RaysProspectsThe calendar has turned to May, so we've had a month of baseball to enjoy. Even though it's only a month worth of results, I thought it might be fun to review our top prospects lists and see if anyone is looking way to high or low based on what we saw in April.

The actual RaysProspects Top 15's are on the sidebar -->, but lets take a look at our individual lists (Kevin, Jake, Andy, and I did ours in November) plus Baseball America's list (done in early February), Stacy Long's list (done in December) and John Sickels' list (don't remember when his came out).

So have at it in the comments, who's list looks the best, who's worst, and who did the consensus miss on based on what we've seen so far. Here are the lists:

Notes: JS is John Sickels, BA is Baseball America, SL is Stacy Long, JL is Jake Larsen, AL is Andy Leslie, KG is Kevin Gengler, and DM is me. Points are 30 for 1st, 29 for 2nd, etc. I gave one point to each Honorable Mention or "other" by Sickels. On Mitch Talbot, JS and BA did their lists after he was traded to Cleveland, the rest of us did ours before the trade. On Fernando Perez, most of us didn't consider him eligible, some did (MLB DL time counts as service time, so I say no).
