Scores and Highlights from 8/23

Norfolk Tides 6, Durham Bulls 4 (13 innings)
Tim Beckham was 3 for 6 with a solo home run. Matt Carson was 2 for 5 with a double and a home run. Dan Johnson had a solo home run. Stephen Vogt had a double. Matt More pitched 6 scoreless innings with 6 K's. Rob Delaney provided 1 1/3 no hit innings.

Mississippi Braves 4, Montgomery Biscuits 1
Cole Figueroa was 3 for 4 with a run scored. Greg Sexton drove home the lone Biscuit run. Frank De Los Santos pitched 3 no-hit innnings.

Jupiter Hammerheads 11, Charlotte Stone Crabs 5
Mark Thomas had a double and 2 RBI's. Matt Hall had a double and an RBI. Reid Fronk and Alejandro Torres ecch had an RBI. Deivis Mavarez pitched 2 1/3 no-hit innings while Scott Shuman pitched an additional 2 no-hit innings.

Bowling Green Hot Rods 10, Great Lakes Loons 8
Phil Wunderlich was 3 for 5 with 2 double and an RBI. Julio Cedeno was 2 for 5 with 3 RBI's. Mayo Acosta was 2 for 4 with a triple and an RBI. Robby Price was 2 for 4 with a double. Derek Dietrich was 2 for 5 with an RBI. Cody Rogers had a triple. Omar Bencomo was the winner and Austin Hubbard got the save.

Vermont Lake Monsters 5, Hudson Valley Renegades 0
Renegades combined for only four hits on the night, all of them singles. Justin Woodall, Brooks Belter and Dave Laufer combined for 4 no-hit innings from the bullpen.

Pulaski Mariners 5, Princeton Rays 2
Taylor Motter had a double and an RBI. Drew Vettleson and Josh Sale each had a double. Junior Rodriguez drove home a run. Jose Molina pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings. Shay Crawford pitched 2 shut-out frames.

GCL Twins 5, GCL Rays 2
Ariel Soriano was 3 for 4 with a double. Ismel Antunez was 2 for 3 with a double. Julian Morillo was 2 for 4 with a triple and an RBI. John Alexander had an RBI. Isaac Gil pitched 2 no-hit innings. Daniel Bream provided another no-hit frame.
