Scores and Highlights from 8/20

Norfolk Tides 3, Durham Bulls 2
Matt Carson was 2 for 3 with a home run. Russ Canzler had a double. Dan Johnson plated a run. Adam Russell pitched 2 no-hit innings.



Birmingham Barons 4, Montgmory Biscuits 3
Henry Wrigley was 3 for 4. Shawn O'Malley had a triple and an RBI. Cole Figueroa had an RBI. Isaias Velasquez had a double. Nick Barnese struck out 7 in 7 innings. Matt Bush pitched a no-hit inning.



Charlotte Stone Crabs 6, Fort Myers Miracle 2
Brett Nommensen was 3 for 3 with a double before leaving game early. Omar Luna was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. Mark Thomas had a two run homer. Ty Morrison was 2 for 4 with a double. Albert Suarez had his 2011 debut, pitching 5 2/3 innings and picking up the win. Matt Stabelfeld struck out 4 in 2 1/3. Kirby Yates struck out the side in the ninth.



Great Lakes Loons 3, Bowling Green Hot Rods 2 (10 innings)
Cody Rogers was 2 for 5 with 2 doubles. Todd Glaesmann was 2 for 4. Robbi Estrada had a double and 2 RBI's. George Jensen pitched 5 shut-out innings. Nate Garcia added two shut-out innings with 3 strikeouts.



Vermont Lake Monsters 14, Hudson Valley Renegades 4
Alejandro Segovia was 2 for 3 with a 2 run homer. Juniel Querecuto was 2 for 5. Brian Bryles had an RBI.



Princeton Rays 8, Bristol Sox 6 (13 innings)
Drew Vettleson was 3 for 6 with a double and an RBI. Jake Hager was 2 for 7, driving home the go ahead run in the 13th. Ryan Brett, Taylor Motter, Josh Sale, Justin O'Conner and Deshun Dixon each had a double. The P-Rays pitching had 13 strikeouts. Pedro Silvestre pitched 2 shut-out innings for the win.



GCL Orioles 8, GCL Rays 2
James Harris was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. Jonathan Quinonez drove home a run. Ismel Antunez had a double. Ryan Turner pitched 1 1/3 shut-out innings. Daniel Bream had a shut-out frame.
