The Biscuits took their second straight walk-off win, 4-3, over the Huntsville Stars in 10 innings in front of 6,501 on Friday night at Riverwalk Stadium.

With the game tied, 3-3, Cody Cipriano laced the first pitch of the 10th from reliever Juan Sandoval to center field for a single. Matt Spring laid down a successful sacrifice-bunt to move him to second, and Pedro Powell delivered a game-winnings single to left field, with Cipriano racing around from second ahead of a throw from Drew Anderson.

Leading off the second inning against Biscuits' starter Brandon Mann, Jonathan Lucroy blasted his seventh home run of the season to left field, giving the Stars a 1-0 lead.

The lead was short-lived as Chris Nowak opened the Biscuits' half of the third with a solo-home run of his own off Stars' starter David Welch to quickly tie the game, 1-1.

The Stars reclaimed the lead with a pair of runs off Mann in the fourth inning. Lucroy was again the instigator, leading off the inning with a single. Taylor Green followed with a single to put two aboard with nobody out. Lorenzo Cain laid down a sacrifice-bunt in front of the plate, but as Spring threw him out, Mann failed to cover the plate and Lucroy alertly raced in to score. On the play, Cortez threw wildly home allowing Green to third. The error was followed by a sacrifice fly from Kevin Melillo to score Green and Huntsville enjoyed a 3-1 lead.

The Biscuits again drew even in the sixth inning, as they chased Welch from the ballgame. Rashad Eldridge doubled on one hop off the left field wall to open the inning and Brandon Chaves singled to put runners on the corners with nobody out. Fernando Cortez bounced into a double-play with Eldridge coming home to slice the lead to one, 3-2.

Welch retired on that note, and didn't factor in the decision, as Mike McClendon entered in relief. Nowak greeted him with a single and promptly stole second base. Cody Strait then tied the game with an RBI single, plating Nowak for a 3-3 deadlock.

Eddie Morlan (5-4) entered in the ninth for the Biscuits, escaping a self-created jam in the inning and eventually working two scoreless innings for the win. Sandoval (3-3) was tagged with the loss for the Stars.

The Biscuits will open a five-game series against the Mississippi Braves at 7:05 PM on Saturday night at Trustmark Park in Pearl, MS. RHP Brian Baker (5-3, 4.07) will make the start in the opener for the Biscuits against RHP Kyle Cofield (7-3, 3.70) for Mississippi.
