  2. I was at the Charlotte game. Lobstein was very good. The hit was a booming double off the wall on the first pitch of the game. Two of the 3 walks were to Utley. Otherwise, he was dominant. Hitters flailed helplessly at his off speed pitches. He got a lot of swings and misses. There were a few hard hit line drives, but most of the (contact) outs were routine-pop ups, medium fly balls.

Lee hit the ball hard but right at people. He made 3 plays on grounders, once ranging far to the left of 2B and on an Utley scorching grounder/line drive that nearly handcuffed him, he knocked it down, regained control and made a perfect throw.

Bortnick's hit was a smash that the pitcher couldn't handle. Later in the game he walked.

  3. Great to hear about Lobstein, thanks Robert. 16 strikeouts the past two starts for him.

  4. That 5-4 BG was the completion of the suspended game. Luke Bailey homered in the regularly scheduled game, which BG also won 5-4: http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?sid=t2498&gid=2011_05_19_wmiafx_bgrafx_1&cid=2498&t=g_box
