The Tampa Bay Rays have made the following move affecting the roster of Double-A Montgomery prior to Thursday’s game against the Mississippi Braves:
OF Jason Perry transferred to GCL Rays to begin minor league rehabilitation assignment [24 + 1].
Perry, who has been on the Disabled List since May 27th after being hit by a pitch from Carolina’s Alexander Smit and breaking a bone in his wrist, will work back into game shape with the GCL Rays and is expected to make his return to the Biscuits during their upcoming 10-game road-trip.
The Biscuits remain at the Southern League maximum of 24 active players with Perry continuing to be the only player on the Disabled List.
