VSL Rays Tie Playoff Series 1-1 With 8-7 Win Over Pirates

VSL RaysThe VSL Rays scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th to win 8-7 over the Pirates in game two of the Venezuelan Summer League playoffs. The Rays victory ties the best-of-three series at one game apiece.

The Good: Offense. Shortstop Hector Guevara was 3-4 (2 singles, double) with a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored. Rightfielder Jonathan Quinonez went 2-4 (single, double) with an RBI and a run scored. First baseman Roan Salas was 2-4 (2 singles) with 4 RBI.

The Bad: Defense and Pitching. The Rays committed two errors (that makes 6 so far in 2 playoff games): rightfielder Jonathan Quinonez (throwing), and relief pitcher Hector Aguilera (pickoff).
