Rays Add New Club Seating Area To Tropicana Field

Tampa Bay RaysFor the 2009 season the Rays will introduce a new seating area at Tropicana Field known as Club 105. The team has converted section 105, previously a drink rail space, into an area with 70 padded seats. Beer, wine, soda, peanuts, popcorn and pretzels are included in the price of the ticket.

Tickets for Club 105 are priced at $90 for regular games, $105 for marquee games and $130 for prime games. Tickets will go on sale beginning tomorrow at 9 a.m. and can be purchased on-line at raysbaseball.com or via phone at 888-FAN-RAYS. As a result of this new section and several other smaller adjustments, the official capacity for Tropicana Field will increase to 36,973.

  1. This used to be the best kept secret in the trop. It was better than the beach(tbt party deck). You had to get to the stadium during batting practice to get a good spot in what we called "the stand up section." I never see anyone sitting there in those black seats. I know that because of this change my friends and I have attended fewer games. It's not that great of a deal. You can get better club package seats for the same money. That section was always full previous years. Management has to wonder if all those people are still attending games like they did. I know that I'm not. They got a little greedy in my opinion.
