Monday Moves

- The Charlotte Stone Crabs activated RHP Chris Andujar from the 7-day disabled list. He had been pitching for the GCL Rays on a rehab assignment. When the GCL began there were three rehabbing pitchers, all of whom have finished and moved on: Andujar, Nick Barnese (to Montgomery), and Lenny Linsky (to Charlotte).

- RHRP Kris Carlson has been assigned to the Hudson Valley Renegades from the GCL Rays.

- DH Luke Scott has been sent to the Durham Bulls on a major league rehab assignment.

- OF Craige Lyerly has been assigned to the Hudson Valley Renegades from the Charlotte Stone Crabs in a paper move.

- The Rays optioned LHSP Alex Torres back to the Durham Bulls.

- RHRP Kyle Farnsworth will continue his major league rehab assignment with the Durham Bulls. He was scheduled to pitch the past two days for Charlotte but those games were rained out by Debbie. In four appearances with the Stone Crabs he pitched 4.0 innings allowing one run on three hits with two strikeouts and no walks.

The College World Series ended tonight with Arizona beating South Carolina. That means 9th rounder Joey Rickard of Arizona is able to sign. Once his bonus is set there shouldn't be any uncertainties in negotiations with 1st rounder Richie Shaffer.

Also, sorry for the lack of posts. Busy few days for me, and Jim has his hands full with Debbie. I'll get the final Top 30 list posted soon and we'll get back to normal. In the mean time use this as an open thread. And the Depth Chart is always up-to-date on transactions, even if we haven't posted them on the front page.

  1. HV has 29/30 roster spots filled. We were hoping to get college guys Shaffer and Rickard. But, either someone has to leave HV or I guess we won't get them both, right? Would esp. love Shaffer at 1st base.

  2. Hudson Valley's roster is full with Lyerly on in 30 of 30. (They didn't move him on the depth chart to HV they just put him on the buttom of PC) Which either means HV is going to get screwed over again LOL. Or lyerly will be released when those guys sign.
