Thursday's Scores and Highlights

Durham Bulls 6, Louisville Bats 1
Series tied 1-1. Justin Ruggiano was 3 for 5 with a double and an RBI. Joe Dillon was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s. Leslie Anderson was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Angel Chavez also plated a run. Aneury Rodriguez gave up a run on 2 hits with 5 walks in 2 2/3 innings. Darin Downs picked up the win. Jake McGee, Joe Bateman and Winston Abreu combined for 4 no-hit innings out of the bullpen. The series moves to Durham on Friday with Alex Cobb starting game three.

Bradenton Marauders 1, Charlotte Stone Crabs 2
Stone Crabs win series 2-1, repeat as South Division Champs. Kyeong Kang was 2 for 3 with a double. Matt Hall and Chris Murrill drove home the runs. Alex Colome made the start allowed 1 run in 1 1/3 innings and was replaced following the lengthy rain delay. Frank De Los Santos pitched 4 shut-out innings with 2 strikeouts to earn the win. Zach Quate recorded the save. The Stone Crabs host game one of the FSL Championship Series against Tampa on Friday.

  1. How is Mcgee not called up? This guy is back to where he was 2 years ago. I'd much rather see him in than Randy Qualls. By the way I'm not happy about that trade now. Gorgen was a stud closer. Seen him a few times this year in Montgomery and he always slams the door. Oh well!

  2. Agreed on McGee. He was hitting 97-98 last night with fastball and threw two nice breaking balls as well.
