Thursday's Scores and Highlights

Gwinnett Braves 7, Durham Bulls 6
JJ Furmaniak was 2 for 5 with an RBI. Chris Richard had a two run triple. Fernando Perez, Justin Ruggiano and Joe Dillon also drove home runs. RJ Swindle blew the save opportunity and was charged with the loss. The Bulls wrap up the series against the G-Braves again on Friday, Richard De Los Santos will start.

Huntsville Stars 3, Montgomery Biscuits 6
Henry Wrigley was 2 for 5 with a solo home run. John Matulia as 2 for 5 with a triple. Rashad Eldridge, Drew Anderson and Matt Fields each had an RBI. Dane De La Rosa picked up the win and Matt Gorgen the save. The Biscuits travel to Jacksonville on Friday, Jeremy Hall will start the opener of the final series of the season.

Charlotte Stone Crabs 2, Jupiter Hammerheads 1 (12 innings)
Stone Crabs sweep Hammerheads. They had just 5 hits from different players and none of them were for extra bases. Tyler Bortnick drove home the first run and Tim Beckham drove home the winning run in the top of the 12th inning. Zach Quate provided 2 no-hit innings of relief. Deivis Mavarez was the winning pitcher. The Stone Crabs return home for the final homestand of the season, Alex Colome will start Friday's game against Bradenton.

Bowling Green Hot Rods 5, Dayton Dragons 1
Julio Cedeno was 4 for 5 with a double and a run scored. Mark Thomas was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Kyle Spraker also drove home a run. Kyle Lobstein pitched 6 shut-out innings with 7 strikeouts to get the win. Scott Shuman provided 2 scoreless innings of relief with 4 strikeouts. The Hot Rods look to sweep Dayton on Friday, Albert Suarez will start.

Staten Island Yankees 1, Hudson Valley Renegades 2 (Game One)
Brian Bryles, Steve Tinoco and Alejandro Torres accounted for the 3 base hits of the game. Bryles recorded an RBI. Elias Otero drew 3 walks in 3 plate appearances. Zach Rosscup picked up the win, striking out 7 hitters in 5 2/3 inning. Austin Hubbard recorded the save.

Staten Island Yankees 1, Hudson Valley Renegades 15 (Game Two)
Scott Lawson was 3 for 4 with a double, 4 RBI's and 3 runs scored. Brian Bryles was 2 for 3 with a double and 3 runs scored. Nick Schwaner was 2 for 4 with a double, 4 RBI's and a run scored. Steve Tinoco was 2 for 5 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Derek Dietrich was 2 for 4. Mayo Acosta was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI's. Elias Otero and Junior Rodriguez also drove home a run. Enny Romero made his Renegades debut, pitching 5 innings and allowing just 1 run to earn the win. Adam Liberatore recorded the save. The Renegades host Lowell on Friday.

GCL Rays 4, GCL Phillies 10
The GCL Rays fell in the GCL Championship Series 2-1. Ryan Brett, Tanner Biagini, Joel Caminero and Julian Morillo had the four hits of the game for the Rays. Caminero and Morrillo picked up the RBI's. The Rays concluded the 2010 season with a 34-26 record and winning the South Division.
