  1. Not the category you want your organization to be the leader of...

  2. Let's look at the bright side it's not PED's. It was there first season not playing short season ball. They got tired took something and got caught. i just hope they can learn from this and became better ball players. Or at least not get caught next time!

  3. Loser! I am glad we have gotten rid of low round guys to keep these losers around. Congrats SALE i could have called it that you were next. And you and brett could feed the BS to someone else. You didn't take an energy pill or adderal its called you did an illegal substance (SOME FORM OF DRUG) were not stupid. What an embarrassment for tampa bay. They need to do a better job picking better ballplayers and guys that DON'T DO DRUGS! 6 Tampa Bay really? Come on. I am ashamed to be a fan today!

    1. Adderal is a controlled substance but hardly something to freak out about. This stuff is running rampid in our schools. Kids are taking these to study and others are taking them to stay up and party. I wrote on here after Ryan Brett and the other guys got popped that I bet it was Adderal and it looks like I was right. They made a mistake and lets be happy it wasn't a PED. Who cares they'll be back and hopefully learn from this. Pot & Adderall are the least of my concerns if that's all this was. If your mad at this then you'll really be mad if you knew Scott Kazmir was stoned out of his mind every day including days he had to pitch.

    2. any idiot knows that adderall shows up on drug test. they knew that and choose to take it any way. like i said whats wrong is wrong and that was wrong knowing if they were tested it would show up. i am sick of people defending them.

    3. Have you ever seen a meth head? I have and these KIDS definately are not meth heads. I understand all the laws and I'm just as disappointed as everyone else here. All I'm saying is that this was a stupid mistake and lets not write their careers off like Matt Bush's. What makes me more upset is seeing a certain first baseman in the early afternoon on a game day drinking beers with his family at John's Pass.

    4. Look I know for a fact these boys have been involved with drugs in the past(since they have been drafted). Thats all I am saying about that. I don't care if you believe me or not. Thats why I have no sympathy and believe they should have been caught (And why I definately think it wasn't just an energy pill). Im not writing off their careers but am saying that its been a problem in the past and I am sure its going to be a problem again in the future.

  5. I know from experience in the military that we had regular failures in our drug tests because the lads kept taking a fat stripper called grenade. All athletes take some form of supplements, it seems at BG they've just been caught out taking unapproved supps. Seems more of a failure by the team...

  6. I guess we should start taking bets on who's next..... Doug said it right, truly pathetic. These guys need to pull their heads out of their asses and realize how their poor choices not only effect them but the whole team and the organization.

How many more need to test positive before BG is forced to forfeit the playoffs?

  7. Good point, Anonymous 6:16. Is there any type of league penalty for Bowling Green? Did this affect any of their wins/losses, that, perhaps, may have kept another team out of the playoffs?
I keep thinking of all those Hudson Valley players who were cut last year, because of these idiots taking their positions in Bowling Green. For exampe, You DON'T see IF Church, who batted .247 on drugs, nor IF Kocsco who batted over .300 on drugs. The speedy OF Craige Lyerly was also cut. Tampa Bay blew it by not keepng them.. Then there were pitchers Brooks Belter, Mickey Jannus, and some sure others, who barely had a chance with Tampa Bay. Sometimes the "bonus babies" aren't always the best choices, but it's a business, so that's the way it's gonna be.

  10. Just saw that the A's have suspended OF Rashun Dixon and placed him on the inactive list for unspecified reasons. Rashun is Deshun Dixon's older brother.

    Hmmmm.
