Prospect Eligibility Update

Stephen Vogt
With the season quickly passing by I thought it would be a good time to update the prospect eligibility list. We use the same playing time cutoffs for prospect status as Baseball America:
130 MLB at-bats, 50 MLB innings pitched, or 30 MLB relief appearances.

Here are the players who were prospects at the beginning of the 2012 season and how much major league playing time they have accrued in their careers through last night:

Pitchers: No Longer Eligible
Matt Moore - 139.2 innings pitched.

Pitchers: Still Eligible
Josh Lueke - 28 relief appearances and 36.0 innings pitched.
Chris Archer - 11.2 innings pitched (in 2 starts).
Jay Buente - 10 games (9 in relief) and 16.0 innings pitched.
Dane De La Rosa - 8 relief appearances and 8.1 innings pitched.
Alex Torres - 4 relief appearances and 8.0 innings pitched.

Hitters: No Longer Eligible
Jose Lobaton - 181 at-bats.

Hitters: Still Eligible
Robinson Chirinos - 55 at-bats.
Brandon Guyer - 48 at-bats.
Stephen Vogt - 17 at-bats.

FYI, here was the final list from the 2011 season.
