Crab Camp Notes -- March 25

THE GAME:
FORT MYERS -- The Charlotte Stone Crabs dropped their afternoon matchup today against the Salem Red Sox, 6-2, at the Boston Red Sox Minor League Complex in Fort Myers.

The Stone Crabs lineup only featured a few familiar faces with Shawn Williams, Diogenes Luis and Deives Mavares serving as the only players from Charlotte’s 2009 FSL South Division Championship team.

Ty Morrison collected two hits, swiped a base and scored a run as the lone offensive highlight for Charlotte while Mavares struck out four batters in 2 ½ innings of relief.

Camp continues tomorrow with a 1:05 p.m. matchup against Frederick Keys (Baltimore Orioles) at Twin Lakes Park in Sarasota.

“We’re giving everybody a look. We certainly hope to see these guys in Charlotte at some point. That’s what they’re all working towards.”
