  1. I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this or not, but my name is Adam Lawson and I am an intern with the P-Rays and I've been doing some interviews with prospects taht we've put up on princetonrays.net. If you want to link them you can and I'm doing an interview with Cameron Seitzer that should be up there by tomorrow.

  2. Interesting tidbit: Durham Bulls playing at the Pawtucket Red Sox over the weekend where Carl Crawford will be playing his rehab games.

  3. Once again I was in Lowell for the game last night, and the Renegades finished off the sweep. A few observations:

Matt Rice looked good at the plate all weekend, although he is a guy who may need a position change since the Rays have a solid string of younger C in front of him. He batted behind Malm all series and it worked out well for both of them.

A couple errors again last night, but the Renegades have good range and team speed, and are an aggressive bunch.

Querecuto knocked in the winning runs with a shot down the 1B line that was ruled an error, but was a pretty tough play so he could easily have had a triple added to the boxscore.

Partridge had some good & bad moments, probably deserved better than the ND. Stayton Thomas looked like he was topping out at 80 mph, is that possible? Bryles was pretty impressive in CF this weekend, but I am not a fan of the wide stance. Jared Sandberg seems to have this bunch doing better than most of us expected.

Headed back to FL tomorrow, back to observing the GCL for me.

  4. Good report Jim. Anything else on Querecuto?

  5. Been singing the praises of Juniel since GCL last year, and out of XST. 18 years old, batting second and hitting over .300 from both sides of the plate while playing a pressure position in high short-season is pretty impressive to me. Small sample, but the kid is a solid player IMO.
