Hudson Valley Renegades Injury Updates: Murrill, Ayers

Hudson Valley RenegadesFrom Sean T. McMann of the Poughkeepsie Journal:
A pair of Hudson Valley players will miss time due to injuries sustained on the road earlier this week.

Outfielder Chris Murrill left Monday's game in Williamsport after injuring his shoulder while diving for a ball. [Hudson Valley manager Brady] Williams said the injury was likely a sprain that will sideline him for the coming days.

"I'd say he's probably a week, two weeks away," the manager said.

Two nights later in Williamsport, starting pitcher Kyle Ayers injured his latissimus dorsi, a muscle in the back during the fourth inning.

"He pulled his lat or tore something in there," Williams said. "He's going to miss at least a couple starts."
That doesn't sound good for Ayers, whatever a latissimus dorsi is. I hereby nominate Omar David Bencomo for promotion from the P-Rays until Ayers returns.
