Durham Bulls Postponed, Doubleheader Thursday

Durham Bulls[Via email from the Durham Bulls' broadcaster Neil Solondz.]

Mother Nature didn't cooperate with Jeremy Hellickson and the Bulls on Wednesday. The two teams will play a double header on Thursday at 1:05 instead.

Durham (59-45) started the night two games ahead of Gwinnett and 3.5 in front of Norfolk in the South Division. Durham has won five of six. Scranton is 56-44, 3.5 in front of Syracuse in the North Division.

This was the 12th Scranton home game postponed because of rain or poor field conditions this year.

Durham won the first game of the series 4-2 on Tuesday, as Elliot Johnson became the first Bulls switch hitter at the Triple-A level to homer from each side of the plate in the same game.

The righty Hellickson and lefty Carlos Hernandez are expected to be on the mound in the double header for the Bulls. Coverage of game one is expected to begin at 12:55 on 99.9 the Fan ESPN Radio. Game two can be heard on 99.9 the Fan's HD2, as well as www.durhambulls.com.
