Individual tickets for the Charlotte Stone Crabs 2010 season will go on sale to the general public starting at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, March 22, at the Charlotte Sports Park box office.

The Stone Crabs are offering extra incentives for fans who arrive at the event early with free breakfast items from Chick-fil-A and two phone giveaways from Metro PCS with three months of free service for each. The event will also feature a live remote broadcast by Kix Country 92.9 FM, and fans will have the opportunity to take pictures and get autographs from the team's mascot Stoney.

Tickets for all 2010 home games range anywhere from just $6-11 and are currently available for all home games. Reserved seats for Opening Night (April 8) are limited and tickets for that game sold out in less than 15 minutes last year.

The Stone Crabs have already sold more than 250 new Season Seat packages for 2010 in addition to renewing 93% of their season seat holds from last season. The organization led the Florida State League in attendance during their 2009 Inaugural Season with more than 175,000 fans through the turnstiles and won the FSL South Division Title after defeating the Fort Myers Miracle in the Divisional Series.

The team will host their Opening Day on Thursday, April 8, against the Palm Beach Cardinals at Charlotte Sports Park. The only way to guarantee a seat for the game is to purchase a Season Seat package. Call 941-206-HITS (4487) or visit StoneCrabsBaseball.com for more information.

  1. Any idea when the finalized rosters will come out for the organization for the 2010 season? I keep checking the Cork Board on Rays Index.

  2. At the end of Spring Training. Camp breaks April 4th and the first game is April 8th, between then the teams have a 'meet the team' event in town. Rosters are usually known before that event, so expect anywhere from the 3rd to the 6th. The players who don't make a full-season roster will stay in Port Charlotte for extended Spring Training until short-season ball starts in late June. The rosters for the short-season teams (Hudson Valley, Priceton, and the Gulf Coast League Rays) should be known in mid-June.

  3. It's hard to say who will be where. The current spring training rosters are no where near what they will be like on opening day. A lot of trickle down effect with the players still in big league camp.
