Friday Winter League Update

Arizona Fall League
Leslie Anderson was 0 for 4 with a run scored.
Jeremy Hall allowed 2 unearned runs on 2 hits with a strikeout and a walk in 1 inning.
Neil Schenk pitched a no-hit inning with a walk.
Henry Wrigley was 1 for 4 with a grand slam, his second in as many days.

Venezuelan Winter League
Carlos Hernandez pitched 1 2/3 shut-out innings allowing a hit with 2 strikeouts and a walk.
Jose Lobaton was 0 for 4 with a walk and a run scored.
Dale Thayer pitched a 1/3 of an inning, striking out the only hitter he faced.

Mexican Pacific League
Angel Chavez was 0 for 3 with a strikeout.
Elliot Johnson was 2 for 6 with a double, 2 runs scored and 2 stolen bases.

Liga Paralela Rays
Erick Epifano was 2 for 5 with a walk and a run scored.
Ismel Antunez was 2 for 6 with an RBI.
Oscar Hernandez was 2 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored.


  1. Wrigley is leading the AFL in RBI's, any chance he'll be in the big leagues next year? I hope so! Longoria's backup?

  2. how did Big Wrigs not play in the MLB network game saturday? he leads the league in RBIs and is tied for second in homeruns?

  3. It will be interesting to see how the pieces come together next season. Wrig's ability to play multiple positions combined with his power will benefit the big club. But I figure they will leave him in AAA for a while to get familiar with the more competitive pitching and see if the stats continue.

    As for the rising stars game, those players were picked a while ago. They were only able to send one player....Wrigley or Cobb should have gotten the nomination. I personally still don't see the Anderson hype.
