Vote for the 2011 Rays Prospects Reader Choice Players of the Year: Princeton Rays

Its time for the second round of Reader's Choice MVP Voting. Its your turn to tell us who you feel is the most valuable hitter and pitcher for the Princeton Rays this season. The winner of this round will join the winners from the other affiliates in a final vote for most valuable players in the Rays minor league system.

The rules are the same as in round one. The poll will run for three days and you can only vote once. The roster is comprised of players who played the majority of their 2011 games with the Princeton Rays.

Voting begins now for the RP Reader's Choice Player of the Year for the Princeton Rays and will run until 6pm EDT on Saturday.

  1. I would like to suggest recognizing strong defensive performers also on your lists of Players of the Year. Players like Drew Vettleson, Cameron Seitzer, Jake DePew, and Jake Hager among a few others played well defensively. I would be interested in seeing the reader's opinions on that list.

  2. I like the idea, but it would be too hard to manage and open the door for way too many categories. So to keep from having a bunch of categories, I kept it for hitter and pitcher to match the MiLB weekly/monthly award format. Possibly at the end of the MVP voting, we can do a postseason all-star team similar to the midseason ones we did last year, allowing the reader to vote for best in the organization at each position.
