International League Playoff Tie-Breakers

Durham Bulls[Via email from the Durham Bulls Director of Media Relations Matt DeMargel.]

Now that the season series between Durham and Gwinnett has concluded with both teams winning 11 games, we can look at the next tie-breaker for the purpose of determining playoff positioning.

Should Durham and Gwinnett tie for the South Division title with both advancing to the playoffs we will declare Division Co-Champions. However, for positioning within the playoffs, based on a higher winning percentage within the division, the Durham club would occupy the position of Division Champion and play Louisville with Gwinnett entering as the wild card club and playing the North Division champion.
