A Look Ahead: Sunday is an off day for all AFL teams. Play resumes on Monday as the Phoenix Desert Dogs (17-11) face the Mesa Solar Sox (13-14) at HoHoKam Park. Mitch Talbot (2-0, 5.30) will be on the mound for Phoenix against Randor Bierd (3-1, 5.50) for Mesa.

  1. Are there any post season games,(playoffs), once the AFL season ends this week? Or does everybody leave to go home. I am particularluy interested in Phoenix Desert Dogs.

  2. I think there's just a one-game championship between the two division leaders.

  3. Yep, the Championship Game is this Saturday, the 21st. Phoenix can clinch the AFL East if they win today (Monday), they're tied 1-1 in the top of the 4th.

If they end up winning the East, the Desert Dogs will play the Peoria Javelinas (the Rays 2008 AFL team) on Saturday for all the marbles.
